Musical comedy from the Sun King's France

Les Plaisirs baroques de Kissanmaa

What happens when a somewhat aged and insecure doctoral candidate meets a magician, defends his thesis, and tames a wild boar?

Les Plaisirs baroques de Kissanmaa, an ensemble of baroque music lovers, will perform excerpts from comedy ballets premiered at the court of the Sun King. They will be accompanied by a singer and a group of dancing actors. The music is composed by Jean-Baptiste Lully, the texts are by Molière and the dances have been adapted for this performance in the style of baroque dance. The music is performed with acoustic instruments, some of them baroque, with a light touch and comic spices.

The performance lasts about half an hour and is suitable for all ages.
