Lungs
JYVÄSKYLÄ CITY THEATRE
Written by Duncan Macmillan
Finnish translation by Juha Jokela
Directed by Perttu Leinonen
A two-actor ecological love story revolving around life’s biggest questions. Is it right to bring a child into a world like this?
Smart, intense and funny, Duncan Macmillan’s Lungs follows a couple navigating life’s ups and downs, through family issues, change, hope, betrayal and happenstance – and the pain you can only cause the ones you love.
As per the author’s instructions, the play is presented with no sets or props and with a single lighting setup, showcasing its two outstanding and fearless actors, Hegy Tuusvuori and Markus Virtanen.
”An extraordinary theatre experience in all its minimalism.”
