Theatre Festival includes a lot of different program this year and children have not been forgotten. Here are a few tips for performances that will surely amuse the whole family!

MAIN PROGRAMME

OFF TAMPERE

  • Cirkus Ruska Festival: Three action-packed circus performances will be seen as part of the OFF Tampere programme: Rafla tells a story of two restaurateurs who love their work and each other. The performance includes in particular acrobatics and juggling. Tremendously exciting Spinsane performs stunts with wheel of death acrobatics. Red Hot Condition, on the other hand, deals with today's fitness boom and appearance pressures through contemporary circus and physical comedy. All performances are free of charge!
  • Finlayson for Kids: Mimmit duo: Having entertained children and also older audiences for over 15 years, Mimmit organizes an energetic show in the Finlayson area. The joyous atmosphere of the award-winning band is already a concept in Finnish children's culture. This duo of two sisters is sure to set the audience on the move. There is free entry to the Mimmit show! The performance is in Finnish but the power of movement does not know language barriers!

These performances are also suitable for kids but will be held in Finnish:

THE GREAT NOCTURNAL HAPPENING

  • Handicraft workshops at Tammerkoski: With Taito Pirkanmaa, you can go on an exciting journey to handicrafts. The craft workshops on the Nocturnal Happening, which are always held on even hours, are a glimpse into the addictive world of craft. Craft workshops are age-neutral, but may require adult assistance depending on the age of the child.

  • Evening Market & Yard Sale & Pony riding: Come sell your gently used and high-quality items or trift pre-loved products. There’s also pony riding between 16.00–19.00, so it is a good idea to arrive with the whole family. Troubadour Pentti Salminen entertains with live music from 18.00 to 21.00.

  • Night of the Bats: A group of volunteers from the Häme District of the Finnish Nature Association will organize a bat-themed crafting event and an activity trail. Come create your very own super bat! Starting point in Näsinpuisto, next to the Tiitiäinen playground.
