The Great Nocturnal Happening Today!

The Great Nocturnal Happening is taking place today from dawn till dusk. The cross-artistic, carnivalesque event is produced by dozens of parties – various organisations, associsations and performers – under the Tampere Theatre Festival’s umbrella. The Great Nocturnal Happening offers a wide range of interesting, thrilling, inspiring and charming custom-made events.

This year, the programme includes a variety of performances and activities from theatre, circus, dance and music to guided tours, rollerskating and even boat rowing with the local scouts. Some of these are in Finnish but there are many performances, events and activities that are accessible to everyone. Altogether there are 204 events scattered around the city of Tampere, 147 of which are free of charge.
