The 50th Anniversary Festival is on - Welcome all!

Monday 6th of August marks the kick-off of the Tampere Theatre Festival.
Welcome all to join the seven days of celebration!
The Festival's Opening Ceremony will be held at Laikunlava Stage (Puutarhakatu 1) on Tuesday 7th of August at 12.00. The stage is located in the vicinity of the Central Square, by the park of the old library building which has been transferred into a cultural centre.
The Festival will be declared open by the legendary Finnish actress Seela Sella. The ceremony includes a short introduction of the Main Programme by the artistic team, poetry and music performances by folk hop group Tuuletar as well as the band from the Main Programme's Baikal Brothers Co. Even though the speakers will speak in Finnish, you can enjoy the programme highlights and the lovely atmosphere of the park!
