Great Nocturnal Happening: Carnivalistic Atmosphere in Tampere

The Great Nocturnal Happening takes over the city on Thursday the 10th of August. The lively carnival-like 
event presents a wide range of shows, exhibitions and other adventures produced by various organizations, associations and performers. The total of over 160 events are spread across the city, the first ones beginning early in the morning and the festivities continuing late into the night. Most of the events have free entry!
The programme includes music, theatre, dance, arts, literature, movies, sports and food – something for everyone. For music lovers there is ukulele-concert by Tampere Ukulele Orchestra at 17.30. The orchestra is Finland’s biggest ukulele line-up. You can also just relax and eat tasty waffles made by Tuomaskallio-koti from 15.30 to 00.00. Finish the day with a style and join a carnevalistic parade by TeART. The parade starts at 23.00 from Tullintori. You can also just join the parade as it moves towards Hämeenpuisto.
