Come spend a magical evening amidst poetry, art and music in the garden of culture center Hirvitalo. There's an arts & crafts sale, performances, workshops and a vegan café. Free entry!

On the night of the Nocturnal Happening, the Hirvitalo garden will bloom with different sorts of activities, full of music, art, joy, whispers and magic. Come enjoy the atmosphere of a night-time garden and stage performances while relaxing under the apple tree. Get to know the activities of our community culture house, and participate in various art and poetry workshops.

Come explore the secrets of the bohemian Hirvitalo garden, inspired by permaculture design, and the charming art studio cabin next to it.

What will you conjure up in the painting, illustration and poetry workshops, when inspired by the blooming garden?

And what plant-based snacks has the chef come up with to refresh our evening?

THE YARD STAGE hosts performances and melodies, e.g. electro musician QOSQI, whose sound is a delicious mix of melodic folktronica, cumbia and hypnotic techno. The Andean stringed instrument charango brings its own bright spice to this delicious soup of sounds. These ingredients create an organic flow that takes the listener on a journey into the jungle of the mind.

THE GALLERY will be open and you can experience the amazing art exhibitions by Aleksi Matikainen and Ämer Bilaletdin.

ARTS AND CRAFTS SALE is open during the event. Come and discover amazing artworks and craft products, and support local artists!

WORKSHOPS available, e.g.

Painting workshop: Wine & Arts
7-9 pm

Welcome to a guided journey to the passion of painting, meeting new people and creating wonderful memories! We will paint outside in the garden with a free glass of wine and a warm blanket on our shoulders. The workshop is for everyone, regardless of skill level, who loves art or wine and wants to do something unforgettable during this year's Nocturnal Happening. The instruction language is English.

Open illustration and poetry workshop: Draw and write a garden
7.30-10 pm

In the workshop we will draw plants and other still-life details of nature from the garden environment. You can also illustrate freely, inspired by the surrounding nature, using different mediums. You can decorate the pictures with poems or texts, or create illustrations inspired by existing poems.
